July-August 2014
On July 31, our granddaughter, Kira, and I went to Florida to visit my daughter, Laura, and her son, Shane. We were there from Thursday night until Tuesday afternoon. Fun-filled days.

Flying into Miami
We saw Shane at his school the next morning. There was a "Frozen" party. The girls dressed up like princesses and the boys had a nose and antlers like the snowman. (I know nothing about the movie.)
We went to the beach on the gulf side.
The next day it rained, so we drove to Key Largo. We had lunch and bought souvenirs.

We went to the beach on the Atlantic Ocean side of Miami.
That evening, we went to a entertainment center-mall.
These pictures are blurry. I forgot my camera and took them with my phone.
The next day we had lunch at Monty's. Kira caught a lizard. She's a good lizard-catcher. This wasn't the first, but the only one we got a picture of.
Before we went home, we had ice cream at Swenson's. Kira ate the WHOLE THING.
The last night in Miami. we went bowling. We had fun! First time I've bowled in YEARS and I got 1 strike. Amazing.
Before we left on Tuesday, I took of pictures of Laura & Shane's kitten, Chloe. Cute kitty.
Kira started school the NEXT DAY. She had a busy week befoe school started.
