My husband is my "wood guy" since I just DON'T DO WOOD! It took him years to understand this, but after some disasters, he is now a believer. He is a problem solver and comes up with ingenious ideas for my projects.
One of his greatest ideas was the electricity on my large dollhouse. He used hard wire and drilled access holes through the walls up from the floor or down from the ceiling of each level. In order to reach the outlets in each room, he then drilled through the wall into the "wire run" and threaded through the wire. For more of an understanding of this project, go to Wiring on my Dollhouse page. He also designed and built the entire dollhouse for me.
My daughter is a hair color specialist in South Beach, Florida. I should have realized when she was a child that she would be in the "hair biz" because she cut the hair off every doll she ever had. She also did some rather ingenious things with her own hair when she was a punk rocker. She is a single gal with a boyfriend and she just had a baby boy, Shane, on October 27. To see Shane's pictures, go to Photo Album 2008. She was named top colorist of Miami in a Florida magazine, Miami Metro and has write-ups in the fashion magazine, Allure, InStyle, and Cosmopolitan. She is now at Oribe Salon located in the South Beach (Miami).
My son is a graphic artist and works in website development at Graybar Electric Company and does wonderful stuff. He is also a musician and plays primarily the electric bass, but can play many instruments and has been active in many bands since high school. He married a lovely young woman in July 1999 to see pictures of wedding, go to 1999 Family Pictures.
Their first baby, our first grandchild, Kira Susanne, was born 10/28/2000. To see pictures, go to 2000 Family Pictures.
